First, the answers to some frequently asked questions:

• How can I buy two copies of any one tier? Easy: pick the tier, then enter double the amount. Message me immediately to let me know, and I'll add a note to myself inside of Kickstarter. You could choose two different tiers in the same manner: pick one, total the pledge amounts of both, then message me. I'll add it as a note to myself inside of Kickstarter.

• When will the books ship? We expect to receive books in May or June, depending on things like Chinese New Year, tariffs, asteroids, etc.

• Have you found a way to reduce shipping costs to purchases outside of the United States? We tried, but it is what it is. Shipping costs to the EU and Australia especially are steep. But I offer the rewards at a deep discount as a Thank You to my backers. You're still getting a great bargain.

Do you want more than one copy of the book? Would you like to add another copy as a Holiday gift? Want one to look at and one to keep pristine? Simply choose the highest tier that you wish to purchase, add the value of any other tier or tiers you want to the total amount pledged, then message me through KS with the details. It all goes into the internal spreadsheet.

We're putting together a list of add-ons, and we'll probably post each of the tiers to the list in case someone missed these last two updates. But also available will be copies of my novel, The Summer Dragon: First Book of The Evertide, which made both Barnes & Noble's and Amazon's shortlist for Best Sci-Fi / Fantasy novels of 2016 (for the record, I am 127,000 words into Book II of The Evertide, and hope to have it to editing soon).

In addition, my good friend (and an amazing human being), Dragon Dronet is working up something special. If you don't know him, look him up on the IMDb. Dragon is an artist, property master, specialist for weapons, and occasional actor who made props like weapons, tools, and miniatures, for Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager, Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, and Star Trek: First Contact, as well as a long list of blockbuster sci-fi movies like Chronicles of Riddick and the Predator series. He is sculpting, from my cover art for Summer Dragon, a belt buckle and "a surprise."

Amazing to see the response in the first week! As I write, we've crossed the $40,000 threshold, which makes me very happy, because now everything is truly funded. And of course questions come up that I don't know the answer to. We're going to put the FAQ together soon to answer as many of them as we can, so if you have a question, please ask! The short version is this: special requests can be tricky while we're negotiating this part of the process. When we get to the point of sending out fulfillment surveys, we'll know better how to handle the most common ones—probably with add-ons.

15 Days to Go!

It's been a wild ride so far! I'm so grateful to everyone who's pledged to make this book a reality. We've got just 15 days to go now- straight toward the home stretch. I've been overwhelmed with the messages and comments of support daily, with people from all over the world writing to say how excited they are that this is finally happening. Well, I'm excited too! Again- THANK YOU!

I've been working with our layout designer steadily to make the book as perfect as I can. Our current page count is around 336! That blows our original estimation out of the water. There's so many images that are going to be seen larger than they ever have been. Here's a few images from the layout pdf:

Along with that, I got in my first proofs for the large metal Evertide print that will come with the Dragon's Hoard backer tier and I thought I'd share that as well! 

Again, I want to say THANK YOU to everyone who's backed, shared, or written. It means the world to me that my work has affected and inspired so many people.
